John Rankin Infant School

During the summer of 2014 the John Rankin School underwent the extension of two new classroom areas, one at either end of the existing school. As part of the planning conditions renewables were to be used to provide space heating to the building. The Renewable Design Company were approached to design and install a suitable system that would keep ongoing running costs and maintenance costs to a minimum. A 16kW Dimplex A-Class heat pump was installed on the roof of each classroom extension this was connected to a new underfloor heating system to provide a stable, but comfortable temperature. This heat pump is one of the most efficient systems on the market helping to keep the ongoing running costs of the system down.
