A new project which involves installing heat pumps into a new build Care home in Leicestershire. The clients have requested RDC to design, supply and install an air source heat pump system to provide the required heat for the 50 apartments in the three storey building
RDC are responsible for installing the complete system including all internal pipework and emitters. Each individual apartment will be heated with high efficiency fan assisted radiators which are designed to work with the lower flow temperatures produced by the heat pumps and maintain a comfortable temperature at all times.
The use of heat pumps for the building will reduce the cost of heating the apartments and the communal areas whilst reducing the carbon footprint of the building and protecting the tenants from future unpredictable price spikes in fossil fuels. The heat load for the building is 200kW.
Work has commenced on site as the ground floor is completed with an expectation of the first apartments being ready for viewing by potential purchasers in February 2014.
