Trenching does not have to be disruptive

Renewable Design is working with the National Trust on their next high profile project at Blickling Hall in Norfolk. The project will use the lake as the heat source, and two heat pumps will then provide the heat for this magnificent building. After the success of their project in Wales the National Trust are working in conjunction with RDC to reduce carbon emissions by including heat pumps in further properties.

RDC work with expert contractors to ensure care is taken when required, particularly when grounds are listed or protected. These images show a recent project laying ground loops with pipe laying machines that cut a trench to the correct depth, but only 200mm wide. The trench is then re-filled immediately after the pipe has been inserted, ensuring that the impact on the ground is minimal and there are no open trenches.
